Subaru Solterra Receives Requested Updates and Lower Price for 2025

The Solterra is available in four different trim levels, including the Premium, Limited, Touring, and the new-for-2025 Touring Onyx Edition. The Limited price starts out at $39,915 (including the $1,420 Destination and Delivery fee). Pricing is before any tax credits you may qualify for, such as the federal $7,500 EV tax credit.

Full pricing, including the $1,420 D&D fee, is as follows: 

• Solterra Premium – $39,915 
• Solterra Limited – $43,415 
• Solterra Touring – $46,415 
• Solterra Touring Onyx Edition – $46,915 

An Affordable and Safe EV Choice 

This means that for less than $50,000, before any tax credits, buyers can get an EV that has been awarded the Top Safety Pick+ designation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) each year it has been on sale. The Solterra features full-time Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes.  

Battery Pack, Power, Range, and Off-Road Prowess 

All trim levels feature a 72.8-kWh battery pack that delivers 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The base Premium model has a range of 227 miles, while all other trim levels have a range of 222 miles due to larger wheels. The Solterra can tackle real off-road and inclement weather conditions with the X-MODE drive control system where drivers can select Snow, Dirt, as well as Deep Snow and Mud modes. Coupled with Grip Control, Downhill Assist Control, and Hill-Start Assist, the Solterra EV is the first electric vehicle to fully prioritize the adventure lifestyle.

Subaru says that the 2025 Solterra will be available at Subaru of Rochester early this year.
