Subaru Ascent Driving Through Snowy Mountains

Subaru of Rochester is happy to announce pricing for the 2024 Subaru Ascent 3-row SUV model line. With a major redesign the previous year, changes for 2024 are relatively few. The 2024 Ascent does come standard with the latest version of EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, however. The system has been enhanced to operate more smoothly and in a greater range of conditions. Key improvements include a wider field of view, updated control software, and the addition of an electric brake booster. Also standard across the model line is a Wide-Angle Mono Camera that works together with the EyeSight system’s stereo cameras.

Base Ascent:  $34,195

Included in the base Ascent is the 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer-4 producing 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, which is common throughout the model line. The engine is connected to a high-torque Lineartronic® CVT (continuously variable transmission) that features a paddle-shift operated 8-speed manual mode, which is particularly useful when applying engine braking on mountain descents. Bring a Subaru, all models have standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as well as X-MODE for traversing difficult non-paved surfaces, and Hill Descent Control when descending steep unpaved terrain.  Also standard across the model line is the SUBARU STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus infotainment system and, along with it, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The Ascent can tow up to 5,000 pounds and is equipped with Standard Trailer Stability Assist that senses trailer sway and brakes individual wheels to stabilize the Ascent and trailer.  The 2024 Ascent can be expected to retain the 2023 model’s Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ award.

Ascent Premium:  $36,795

The Premium adds Blind-Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Auto Emergency Steering. Inside you will find an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heating ability for both front seats. Leather wraps the steering wheel and shift lever handle while the  2nd-row gets independent Automatic Climate Control and privacy glass. Outside, the side mirrors are body-color and can be heated. Like the base model, the Premium seats eight, but does have the option of replacing the 2nd-row bench with captains chairs for a total seating of seven.

Subaru Ascent Rear Interior

Ascent Limited:  $41,895

The Limited interior upgrades to leather trim and a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory and 4-way power for the front passenger seat.  The steering wheel can be heated, as can the 2nd-row outboard seats. The Dual function X-MODE adds SNOW/DIRT and DEEP SNOW/MUD settings.

Other features include:

  • Keyless Access with Push-Button Start
  • Reverse Automatic Braking
  • DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System

Subaru Ascent Front Interior Dashboard

Ascent Onyx Edition Limited:  $46,595

All Onyx Edition Limiteds come in the seven-passenger configuration. Upgrades include mostly technology features such as the Surround View Monitor, an onboard navigation system, and the 792-watt, 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Above is a panoramic moonroof, and at the rear is a retractable cargo cover.

Subaru Ascent Infotainment Screen

Ascent Touring  $48,495

The Touring is the flagship grade of the model line.  It is identifiable from the outside by its high-gloss black grille, chrome door handles, and satin-chrome power-folding side mirrors.  But it is the inside where the Touring struts its stuff and that stuff includes a Nappa trimmed interior in either Java Brown with tan stitching or Slate Black with silver stitching.  The Harman Kardon audio system gains QuantumLogic Surround Sound, and the rear speakers become part of the Cabin Connect vehicle communication system. The front view camera has a 180-degree view which is most useful for pulling forward out of a parking space with large vehicles on either side.

Destination and delivery for all models in Minnesota is $1,295.  If you are interested in the 2024 Ascent, inquire with Subaru of Rochester as to when the first models are expected to arrive.
