2023 Subaru Crosstrek

Kelley Blue Book estimates that the 2023 Crosstrek will retain as much as 61% of its value after five years of ownership. The Crosstrek has a base MSRP of $23,645 and features either a 2.0-liter Subaru Boxer engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.5-liter Boxer with 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive is standard. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Crosstrek their coveted Top Safety Pick award, and has received recognition by the IIHS for 6 straight years.

2023 Subaru Forester

The Forester is estimated by KBB to keep 60.6% of its original value. With a starting price of $26,495, the Forester has a 2.5-liter Boxer motor that puts out 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. Like its sibling, the Crosstrek, it, too, is an IIHS Top Safety Pick winner for 17 consecutive years. 

2023 Subaru Outback

The Outback will retain 57.8% of its original value according to KBB.com. The Outback has a starting MSRP of $28,395 and buyers have a choice of either a 2.5-liter Boxer 4-cylinder that has 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer 4 that produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Like its other Subaru SUV siblings, the IIHS has also given the Outback its Top Safety Pick+ award… for 15 years in a row.
