Subaru Has a Lot In-Store for Hatchback Buyers in the 2024 Model Year
Hatchback Models You Should Get for 2024
Before the rise of SUVs and crossovers, hatchback models were popular vehicle options here in the U.S. But if you thought that SUVs have killed off hatchbacks for good, you would be wrong. In the past several years, we have seen a rise in hatchback and wagon popularity.
SUVs and crossovers can be great, but drivers who want utility paired with sedan-like driving dynamics will find more enjoyment from a smaller hatchback. Thankfully, for the 2024 model year, Subaru is showing up big with an all-new Subaru Impreza hatchback and Crosstrek.
What’s New for the 2024 Impreza and Crosstrek?
Let’s start by taking a look at what you can expect from Impreza. The model is now in its 6th generation, having been highly successful for many years. Among other upgrades, the 2024 model now has a sportier hatchback model design.
Under the hood, Subaru has equipped the hatchback with a 182-horsepower BOXER engine for the new RS trim. The model also has an 11.6-inch central display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Subaru has yet to offer pricing details on the new model.
As for the 2024 Crosstrek, which starts at an MSRP of $24,995, buyers can expect the same central display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. The Crosstrek also receives a new, stiffer chassis to create a driving experience that is both enjoyable and comfortable. On the outside, the new Crosstrek features more aggressive styling with a hexagonal grille and more compact headlights.
