Get Your Subaru Ready for Spring

As of this writing in early April, the daily low temperatures are finally creeping above freezing, and we are actually seeing highs in the 50s and maybe even 60s. So spring has finally come, and probably no one appreciates the coming of spring more than Minnesotans, except possibly our Canadian neighbors. Now that the outdoors has gone from forbiddable to hospitable, you may consider using your Subaru’s all-wheel drive for fun rather than survival. Weekend camping or fishing trips beckon, or maybe just a trip to see the relatives you couldn’t see at Christmas. Just remember that the winter wasn’t just hard on you; your Subaru had to go through it as well. So, to help you make sure your Subaru is ready for the plans you are making, Subaru of Rochester has some helpful service suggestions. 

Battery Post-Traumatic Stress Test

Your battery may have made it through the winter, but it may have had to work at it. To ensure that your battery system isn’t a battered system, a simple $25.95 Battery Terminal Service by our Service Center will clean and install your terminals and cables and test the health of your battery and the starting system. The Battery Terminal Service Special lasts through the month of April, ending on May 1st.

Replace those Weary Wipers

Scraping windshields is never fun, and who among us hasn’t scraped off what we need and left the rest to the defroster and wipers? If the rough leftover ice hasn’t marred the edge of your wiper, the cold air may have left them brittle and thus more streak-prone when the inevitable spring showers make their regular appearance. Our Service Department’s $49.95 Front Wiper Blade Replacement Special will replace your front blades and, for a little more, the rear one to ensure you are all set for a rainy day. The Wiper Special expires on May 1st.

Let’s Get This Straight

Last year, a study showed that Minnesota had the worst potholes, above California, Washington, and Michigan. In addition, Minneapolis was ranked second-worst among cities in the nation, behind only Los Angeles. So, chances are, you have hit a pothole or two. You don’t want to wait for your first road trip to find that you are getting a shimmy at 70 mph. Or that you have a slight pull to one side that you subconsciously correct for, but is speeding the wear on some of your tires. Our Spring All-Wheel Alignment special includes:

Don’t Keep It Real

We seek authenticity in many areas, but synthetic oil rules in the crankcase. In most cases, synthetic oil has better extreme high-temperature and low-temperature performance and is generally formulated with higher-performing additives. It also has a greater life expectancy, sometimes twice that of conventional oil.
