Forbes Ranks Subaru as a Best Brand for Social Impact for the Second Year in a Row

Subaru is revered for making some of the safest and most reliable cars with some of the highest resale values of all vehicles on the market. As a brand, Subaru also enjoys some of the most loyal fans and returning customers. Building cars isn’t the only thing that is important to the manufacturer, as they are well known for their philanthropic and environmental actions. They put their money where their grilles are, so to speak. 

Best Social Impact Two Years in A Row

For the second straight year, Forbes has ranked Subaru second on its annual Best Brands for Social Impact list. In fact, of the 300 companies listed, Subaru was the only automotive company in the top 15.

Forbes is a premier business magazine founded in 1917. It features articles on topics such as finance, investment news, politics, science, law, marketing, and more. Forbes is probably most famous for its publications on the world’s richest people, Forbes 30 under 30, and the top companies around the world.

How The Ratings Were Done

When ranking the best brands for social impact, Forbes rates companies according to four categories: Overall Brand Values and Trust, Social Stances, Sustainability, and Community Support. The publication polled 185,000 individuals about 3,000 brands, resulting in nearly 4.5 million ratings. With initiatives such as Subaru Share the Love Event, which has raised $288 million in charitable giving for Meals on Wheels America, ASPCA, Make-a-Wish Foundation, the National Park Foundation, and 832 local charities nationwide.

Currently, Subaru has the most cars with the coveted Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ awards for 2023 and 2024, with 6, including the Forester, Outback, Solterra, Ascent, Impreza, and Crosstrek.
